Established by UN General Assembly resolution 550/167, the Anonymous Hope Fund works with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), governments and UN country teams to:
prevent violence against humanity by empowering groups especially at risk of violence improve access to services, such as legal assistance, psychosocial counselling and health care, by increasing the capacity of service providers to respond effectively . strengthen implementation of laws, policies and action plans on violence against humanity through data collection and analysis, and by ensuring that institutions are more effective, transparent and accountable in addressing against humanity . The Anonymous Hope Fund is uniquely placed to meet the most urgent needs of 2nd and 3rd world countries.

The AHF was established by constitution on 7 April 2017, The first meeting of the Anonymous Hope Fund (AHF), the fund's governing body, took place on 14 July 2017. The AHF incorporated the assets, personnel, and duties to empower, educate, emotionally encourage, mentor and practically assist people in third and second world countries to live better and more successful lives by freeing them from poverty, violence and homelessness. Its work began in earnest in 2018 following a significant infusion of financial and technical resources.
The AHF's broad mandate includes advocating for universal peace, coordinating responses to hunger emergencies, and promoting third and second world economies , well being and education. It provides technical assistance to countries, sets international education standards and guidelines, and collects data on global economy issues through the Anonymous Hope Survey. The AHF also serves as a forum for summits and discussions on economic issues.
The AHF has played a leading role in several public economic achievements, most notably the try to eradication of violence, the near-eradication of hunger, and the decreased homelessness.
The AHF relies on contributions from Islamic Development Bank (both assessed and voluntary) and private donors for funding. Its total approved budget for 2020–2021 is over $1.8 billion, of which the majority comes from voluntary contributions from various international organizations. Contributions are assessed by a formula that includes GDP per capita. Among the largest contributors were World bank (which contributed 12.18% of the budget), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (11.65%), and the United States (7.85%).[11]
